Show Description

Love is a fire. But whether it is going to warm your hearth or burn down your house, you can never tell.

Love, lost love and everything in between. Downpour is a show with a beating heart. Four extraordinary performers juggle, balance, contort and hula their way through the quicksand of life and love. A4 Circus Ensemble’s DownPour was inspired by the central themes contained in a Fyodor Dostoevsky classic short story White Nights. Dostoevsky’s themes and images have been re-imagined within a physical framework where the performer’s unique set of circus skills are used to consider and emotionalise this story of love, new love and lost love.

Ever been in love?

Ever been in love with the wrong person? Four characters stir from a sleep. A sleep disturbed by sounds of threatening weather. The stage is set and we learn – who loves who and who doesn’t.
